Terms and Conditions
1. Our services
We provide bespoke design, fabrication, finishing, consulting, restoration, and related services in metal and wood as described in your quote, order confirmation, or written scope. Any description on our website is illustrative only and does not form part of the contract unless expressly included in writing.
2. Quotes and acceptance
A quote is an invitation to treat and remains valid for the period stated on it (or, if none, 30 days). A contract is formed when you accept our written quote or order confirmation and pay any required deposit, or when we begin work at your written request where we have agreed that commencement constitutes acceptance.
3. Your information and cooperation
You are responsible for the accuracy of dimensions, drawings, site access information, and approvals (for example landlord, condominium, or municipal permissions) needed for the work. Delays or extra costs caused by incomplete or incorrect information may result in revised pricing or timelines.
4. Price and payment
Prices are in the currency stated on the quote and exclude VAT or other taxes unless expressly included. We may require a deposit before scheduling production, with further instalments or balance due as agreed in writing. Late payment may suspend work and incur statutory interest where permitted by law. Title in goods may remain with us until full payment has cleared.
5. Lead times and delivery
Estimated completion and delivery dates are good-faith projections and are not guaranteed unless we have expressly agreed a fixed date in writing. We are not liable for delays caused by force majeure, supply chain disruption, your failure to provide information or access, or third parties.
6. Installation and site work
Where installation is included, you must ensure safe access, appropriate utilities if agreed, and compliance with local rules. We may refuse or postpone on-site work if conditions are unsafe. Risk of loss or damage to delivered goods passes to you on delivery to the agreed address or completion of installation, as applicable.
7. Changes and cancellations
Changes after acceptance may require a revised quote and timeline. If you cancel after we have begun work or ordered materials, you may be charged for work performed, materials purchased, and restocking costs as reasonably documented.
8. Warranty and workmanship
We warrant that our work will materially conform to the agreed specification for a period of twelve (12) months from delivery or installation, except for fair wear and tear, misuse, lack of maintenance, alterations by others, or environmental factors beyond our control. Natural variation in wood grain and colour is inherent and not a defect. Any claim must be notified in writing without undue delay after discovery.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profit, revenue, or business opportunity. Our aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with a project shall not exceed the total price paid by you for that project in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, except where liability cannot be limited by law (including death or personal injury caused by negligence).
10. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, we retain ownership of design documents, templates, and know-how we develop. You receive a licence to use the delivered work for its intended purpose. You warrant that any materials or designs you supply do not infringe third-party rights.
11. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failure or delay caused by events outside reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, labour disputes, epidemic, government action, or critical utility or supply failure.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. The courts of Portugal shall have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections where you qualify as a consumer under EU law.

14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change accordingly. For ongoing projects, the version in force at acceptance continues to apply unless we agree otherwise in writing.
These Terms are a general template for a small fabrication business and do not replace tailored legal advice. For consumer rights in Portugal, applicable mandatory rules may apply regardless of the above.
